Faulty_Player is copyright Mark Neesam.

Introduction.

This is an animation that I started (and, to an extent, finished) several
years ago. At the time, however, I decided not to do anything with it, because I
had no satisfactory way of putting sounds to it. This situation changed a while ago
(nigh on three years now!) when I wrote an animation editor and player, collectively
called Faultymedia (it was funny at the time, honest!). This then is the result. I've
kept the animations pretty much in the state I left them in three years ago.
Although this means I'm not completely happy with a lot of it, any major changes
would probably have resulted in a complete redraw - something I didn't really
fancy.

Enjoy.

About Termintor - PG.

I thought it would be amusing to draw an animated version of a fairly
violent movie with as little violence as possible. So I did! That's about all
there is to it really.

Controls.

LMB - Skips to next scene.
RMB & LMB - Quits completely.

About Faultymedia.

I wrote this because I couldn't find an animation editing program that
would allow events to be added to animations, such as sound effects and pauses.
As this project neared completion I got hold of a copy of CartoonStudio which
did very nearly everything I wanted to do, just not quite. I have since finished
Faultymedia, but haven't released it into the public domain for several reasons.
The main one is that I'm not sure how much need there is for it, seeing as
CartoonStudio does almost everything it does, and probably much more too. Also, it
requires an awful lot of polishing to become anything approaching user-friendly
- something I'm not really looking forward to doing. However, below is a list of
it's features and limitations - if this is the sort of thing you're looking for
then contact me. If enough people want it, I might release it.

FaultyMedia - features and limitations.

Supports only 32 colour lo-res pictures and animations. Basically, if you
can load it into Deluxe Paint 3 then you can load it in here.

Animations.
Allows one event per frame of animation. This is either a sound effect
or a pause (in whole seconds only).
Allows animations to be played once or looped a number of times.
Allows very limited control of playback speed.

Pictures.
Displays single pictures for a definable amount of time.
Allows one sound effect to be played whilst a picture is displayed.

Scripts.
Each animation or picture project created with FaultyMedia is called a
scene. A script is essentially a list of animation or picture scenes that will be
played in order, allowing the creation of huge sprawling epics (such as this one).

That's it.

Thanks go to:
Gez Gourley for providing the sounds and tunes. Most of the good ones were
his creation. All of the bad ones were mine!
